When his bloodthirsty demands can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to channel his inner darkness as he transforms from student to vengeful serial killer under the tutelage of his father, Harry. Christian Slater was older than James Remar when Ντέξτερ (2006) first aired. Followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). I’m a huge Dexter fan.
Dexter (seasons 1-8) is the only show I rewatch
Like Harry (according to Dexter), change is not easy for me. So when Dexter: New Blood came out, at first I was very disappointed with the scene change, the coldness, the lack of some beloved actors, the lack of humor and Latin music. However, when I watched it as a standalone show (no comparison to the original), it grew on me. Now with this new show we are not familiar with the new faces of actors and actresses.

We all remember young Dexter, Deb and Harry, even Laura Moser being different. However, I think it may be unfair to judge actors and actresses because we are not actors and producers. I believe they had to consider many aspects beyond just looks. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, James Remar and the rest of the original cast can magically play younger versions of their respective characters, but time only goes one way.
(Bonus: I really like Christian Slater
He’s awesome as always!) So far, after watching the first episode twice, I love it. I think everyone did a good job filling those big Dexter shoes. Of course, I can’t deny that I’m even more excited to watch Dexter: Resurrection after seeing Dexter come back to life in the emergency room. In short, I think this show is cool and will grow on me over time.
